Hilton Village Sip & Stroll: A Charming Evening of History and Roofing Insights
On a beautiful Wednesday evening, September 18th, Hilton Village residents gathered for the first-ever "Sip and Stroll," a unique blend of social connection and historical education. The event, organized by HHV, Inc., Hilton Village Main Street, and The Roofing Company, focused on the fascinating world of slate roofing and its unique place in the architectural heritage of the village.
Brian Chalsma, representing The Roofing Company, led the group on a casual stroll through the neighborhood, sharing insights into the "Care and Keeping" of historic homes. With a special emphasis on slate roofs, participants learned about the history, craftsmanship, and distinctive architectural features associated with this material.
The atmosphere was relaxed and engaging, as residents enjoyed coffee and iced tea while learning and connecting with their neighbors. Laughter filled the air as Brian shared stories and answered questions, fostering a sense of community and shared appreciation for the beauty and history of Hilton Village.
One participant, Karen, commented afterward, "That was so much fun! I’m bringing my chonky pup next time!" Her enthusiasm reflects the overall success of the event and the desire for more opportunities to learn and connect within the community.
The Roofing Company is proud to have been part of this inaugural Sip and Stroll. It was a wonderful opportunity to share our knowledge and passion for roofing with the residents of Hilton Village. We believe that understanding the history and craftsmanship of our homes helps us appreciate their unique character and preserve them for future generations.
We look forward to participating in future events and supporting the vibrant Hilton Village community!
